Step 1: Prepare the mushrooms
- Wash the mushrooms gently and pat them completely dry. This helps the coating stick well during frying.

Step 2: Make the coating
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until combined.

Step 3: Coat the mushrooms
- Dip each mushroom into milk first. Then roll it in the flour mixture until fully coated.

Step 4: Fry until golden
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the mushrooms in small batches for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy.

Step 5: Drain and serve
- Remove the mushrooms using a slotted spoon. Place them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot.

Notes
- I love serving these fried mushrooms hot with ranch dressing or garlic aioli.
- You can also pair them with spicy mayo or honey mustard.
