Step 1: Bake the cupcakes
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Beat the sugar and butter in a separate bowl until they are light and creamy. Mix in vanilla after adding the eggs one at a time.
- Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth, but don’t overmix.
- Fill each cupcake liner about ¾ full. A toothpick should come out clean after 16 to 18 minutes of baking. Let the cupcakes cool completely.
Step 2: Make the frosting
- In a bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar slowly, then vanilla and milk. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add yellow food coloring, a drop at a time, until you get the perfect Pooh yellow.
Step 3: Decorate
- Frost the cupcakes with yellow buttercream using a piping bag or spatula. Place two small marshmallows on each cupcake as ears after halving them.
- Use edible gel or a black food marker to draw Pooh’s eyes, nose, and a sweet little smile. Place them in red cupcake liners if you want that extra “Pooh shirt” look!
