Step 1: Cream butter and sugar
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Step 2: Add eggs and vanilla
- One by one, add the eggs, thoroughly mixing each time. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 3: Mix dry ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this dry mix into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
Step 4: Bake the cake
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 50–55 minutes until golden.
Step 5: Prepare the glaze
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add heavy cream and powdered sugar. Whisk until creamy and pourable.
Step 6: Glaze and serve
- Cool the cake slightly, then drizzle the cream glaze over the top. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
