Method
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
- Combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water in a large bowl. After giving it a gentle stir, leave it for five to ten minutes, or until it starts to foam.

Step 2: Mix the Dough
- Add olive oil, salt, and 3 cups of flour to the bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon or use a dough hook until it starts coming together. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour at a time.

Step 3: Knead the Dough
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 7–8 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer for this step.

Step 4: Let the Dough Rise
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 5: Shape the Dough
- Divide the dough into two equal portions after punching it down. Form each amount into a round pizza. Sprinkle your baking sheet or stone with cornmeal and place the dough on it.

Step 6: Bake or Store
- Brush the crust with olive oil, add your desired toppings, and bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
Unused dough should be stored in an airtight container after being carefully wrapped in plastic wrap. You can keep it in the fridge for up to three days.
