Step 1: Prepare the crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place your pre-baked pie crust in a pie dish and set it aside to cool while you prepare the filling.

Step 2: Mix the butter and sugar
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a mixer on medium speed.

Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then add vanilla extract and mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Incorporate dry ingredients
- Add flour and salt to the mixture. Beat on low speed until fully combined. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and continue mixing until silky.

Step 5: Fill and bake
- Smooth the top after pouring the contents into the prepared crust. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and slightly set in the center.

Step 6: Cool and serve
- Allow the pie to cool completely on a rack before slicing. Serve chilled or at room temperature for the best texture and flavor.

Notes
Serve Jeff Ruby Butter Pie with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
