Method
Step 1: Preheat the oven
- Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Prepare the pastry
- After the puff pastry sheets are unrolled, cut each one into three equal rectangles, for a total of six. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips in the center of each.
Step 3: Fold and seal
- Pinch the sides of the pastry rectangles closed after folding them lengthwise over the filling. Twist each pastry gently to create a spiral tail effect.
Step 4: Apply egg wash
- Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush it over each twisted pastry to give a golden shine when baked.
Step 5: Bake
- Place the pastries on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and puffy.
Step 6: Make the icing
- To create a smooth glaze, combine milk and powdered sugar. Divide it into two bowls and color one pink and the other purple.
Step 7: Decorate
- Drizzle the cooled pastries with pink and purple icing using a spoon or piping bag.
