  • 4 brioche buns or slices
  • 4 scoops ice cream any flavor
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • Chocolate sauce optional, as desired
  • Sprinkles optional, as desired
  • Caramel drizzle optional, as desired
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Brioche
  1. Slice your brioche buns in half. Lightly butter the inner sides. You can also use brioche slices if buns are not available.
Step 2: Add the Ice Cream
  1. Put a single scoop of ice cream on each brioche’s bottom slice. Gently press the top slice over it.
Step 3: Grill the Sandwich
  1. Heat a non-stick pan or press. Grill the sandwich for about 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp, but not melted.
Step 4: Serve Immediately
  1. Dust with powdered sugar and add optional toppings like chocolate sauce. Serve warm and enjoy immediately before the ice cream melts.

Notes

Croque Glace is best made fresh. However, you can pre-scoop the ice cream and freeze it in plastic wrap to save time.
