  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash

Method
 

Step 1: Cook the sausage
  1. The morning sausage should be cooked in a skillet until browned. Cut it into tiny pieces and put it away.

Step 2: Make the gravy
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour to form a roux, then add milk slowly while whisking. Add salt and pepper. Cook until creamy.

  1. Roll out puff pastry sheets. Cut them into equal rectangles for pockets. Place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
