Step 1: Melt the butter
- I start by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. I make sure it does not brown.

Step 2: Cook the garlic
- I add minced garlic and cook it for about 30 seconds. You just want the aroma, not a burnt taste.

Step 3: Add the cream
- I slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. I let it warm gently for a few minutes.

Step 4: Add cheese and seasoning
- I stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. I keep stirring until the sauce thickens.

Step 5: Adjust the texture
- If I want it extra creamy, I add cream cheese. I cook until smooth, then remove from the heat.

I love serving this Alfredo sauce over fettuccine for a classic meal. You can also drizzle it over grilled chicken, shrimp, or steamed vegetables.
